Pioneering computer graphics author Deke McClelland updates his bestselling hands-on tutorial for Adobe Photoshop CS3, the latest version of this industry-standard image editing and production program. As with previous editions, Photoshop CS3 One-on-One guides readers step by step through the program's features and functionality. A key appeal of the One-on-One series is the two hours of DVD-video material included. Once you read about a particular technique, you can see how it's done first hand in the video. The combination is uniquely effective. And hugely popular.
Whether you're a first-timer looking to learn Photoshop, or a seasoned user interested in the groundbreaking features of CS3, Deke's conversational style and carefully structured lessons guide you through everything you need to know to get up and running, and then takes you well into mastery.
I am always curious to pick up any Adobe reference books that come in so I picked this one up and was overwhelmingly suprised at the quality and format of this book. Reknowned Authour Deke McClelland has outdone himself with this beauty!
It would be hard to find a Photoshop user that at one time hasn't said 'Man, I wish I could find a good course on Photoshop!'. Forget a course, this gem of a book is a one-on-one training/reference manual that goes into teaching you everything you need to know to become familiar with the basics and well into the most common advanced features.
You can learn at your own speed as well. Having trouble following a book? No problem! You get to read the featured lessons, watch the lessons done on video then try them yourself. All the files required and videos of the lessons are all on the accompanying DVD. I will admit I have never seen a book done in a format quite like this.
Inside the book, the lessons are very well planned with hundreds of photos and plain english explanations. The videos are very well done as well. Of the Photoshop Books that we get in the office this one so far as by far impressed me the most and really captured my attention.
Seems to me a rating of 10 out of 10 is not enough for this book. Its simply the best I have seen to date. Highly recommended!
